Usher – ‘Euphoria’ and ‘Numb'(Looking 4 Myself) (Produced by Swedish House Mafia)
Swedish House Mafia has come a long way from the nightclub scene. They are now linking up to R&B, even if Usher’s album title doesn’t feature the Swedish House Mafia brand. The Swedish trio is following in David Guetta’s footsteps who was the first DJ to really get into the R&B thing, alongside Akon, Kid Cudi and other big names of the industry. Consequently, the frontier between R&B and nightlife is increasingly thiner and could one day be part of the same package. That is not what we think is best for the electronic scene, but it would be wrong to turn a blind eye on this possibility.
The Swedish House Mafia first played their track at Futur Music Festival in Australia and ‘Euphoria‘ hasn’t stopped fueling the debate since. Convervative house music afficionados see SHM‘s lastest moves as utterly commercial moves. However, let’s remember how fresh was ‘One’, ‘Miami 2 Ibiza’ and ‘Greyhound’. It is easy to criticize success… What do you think about these two tracks? Your opinion matters.
Enough said.“Numb” is the more Usher than Swedish House Mafia. But guess what, Alesso & Klah Ahlund are also listed in the production credits. Alesso confirmed this information on Twitter. Still, all these collaborations don’t make the track good. It is up to you to judge if ‘Numb‘ is listenable during the summer.

‘Euphoria’ first appeared as a unique Swedish House Mafia’s track featuring Usher‘s vocals before people got acquainted with the fact that this the opposite. EDM fans alike will enjoy ‘Euphoria‘ as the Swedes proved its anthem appeal when they dropped this one at Future Music Festival.
